Affiliate marketing is an income-sharing business between an online merchant and website owner. The site owner places commercials on the website to either assist in selling the merchant’s services or products or to direct potential customers or clients to the merchant’s website. However, this is done in return for profits sharing. There are three approaches to earn cash through this type of marketing: pay per sale, pay per click and pay per lead.
Pay-per-click marketing, each time a potential client or customer leaves the affiliate site by clicking on the website link leading to the dealer’s site, certain amount of money is earned by the affiliate. The amount can differ contingent upon the services or products that agreed upon or advertised. This money may be transferred immediately to the affiliate; it might be transferred at a regular planned time of the month, week or day; or by emailing a check to the affiliate on a regular basis.
Pay-per-sale marketing, this permits the partner or affiliate to earn cash each time a deal is made due to the advertisement placed on the partner’s website. Meanwhile, the affiliate may earn a commission, or a percentage based on the sale’s rate or may earn a flat rate on the sales made, and this is relative to the agreement between the two parties.
